As the Lok Sabha elections approach, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy convened a crucial gathering with CPM State unit leaders, namely State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram, Veeraiah, Julakanti Ranga Reddy, and others at his residence. Seeking support for the Congress party in Bhongir and various parliamentary constituencies, discussions centered on political proposals.
Despite minor differences, a consensus is expected shortly after consulting the party command. The CPM leaders pledged their full backing to thwart the BJP’s advances and collaborate within the INDIA alliance, fostering optimism for the Congress party’s triumph in the upcoming State elections. In Bhongir, CPM candidate Mohammed Jahangir’s nomination was supported by party stalwarts like Politburo member BV Raghavulu.
Post-meeting, CPM State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram expressed willingness to withdraw their candidates in favor of supporting Congress to counter BJP’s influence. Recently, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had also engaged in discussions with Left Parties leaders, indicating that decisions will be made after thorough deliberations with the party high command, as Monday marks the deadline for nomination withdrawals.
