Sree Vishnu, popularly known as the King of Entertainment, scored another success with his comedy drama Comrade Kalyan. Featuring Mahima Nambiar as the female lead, the film reportedly achieved its breakeven target at the box office and emerged as another clean hit for the actor.
However, the film faced censorship-related hurdles before its theatrical release, leaving writer and producer Kona Venkat worried about the situation. According to Kona Venkat’s recent revelation, Megastar Chiranjeevi stepped in to help when he noticed that Kona was visibly disturbed on the sets of Kaaka.
Chiranjeevi reportedly took the initiative to assist Kona Venkat in addressing the issue, helping the film navigate the censorship process more smoothly. Kona Venkat himself has now shared this interesting account, highlighting the Megastar’s timely support during a challenging phase.
Directed by Janakiram Marella, Comrade Kalyan also features Radhika, Sudarshan, Shine Tom Chacko, Upendra Limaye, and Sai Chand in important roles.
The film is produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under the Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP banner, with Vijay Bulganin composing the music.
Chiranjeevi’s reported intervention adds an interesting behind-the-scenes story to the film’s journey, which ultimately culminated in a positive box-office outcome for Sree Vishnu.
