Varsha Bollamma’s Crime Thriller ‘Constable Kanakam’ to Stream on ETV Win from August 14

One such upcoming release that has caught the attention of OTT audiences is ‘Constable Kanakam’, a gripping crime thriller based on chilling real-life incidents.
Set in 1998 in the remote village of Repalle, the story revolves around a series of mysterious disappearances. One by one, young girls vanish — especially those who venture toward the dark forest of Adivigutta at night. With the village gripped by fear, the local police issue warnings, urging villagers to avoid the area after sunset.
Enter Constable Kanakam, played by Varsha Bollamma, a newly appointed officer who takes the case into her hands. As she begins her investigation, she unravels disturbing secrets and uncovers a hidden truth behind the missing girls. But solving this case isn’t easy — Kanakam faces intense psychological and social challenges along the way.
Directed by Prashanth Kumar and produced by Kovelamudi Sathya Sai Baba and Veturi Hemanth Kumar, the series features a strong supporting cast including Avasarala Srinivas and Rajeev Kanakala. The creators promise a tense, emotional, and gripping narrative that’s unlike a typical police story.
