Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie All Set for OTT Release on Amazon Prime
Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest action entertainer Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has turned out to be a massive blockbuster. Released on August 14, 2025, as an Independence Day treat, the film has already crossed the ₹500 crore mark at the global box office and is still running strong in theatres.
Packed with high-octane action and star power, the film features Akkineni Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Reba Monica John, Sathyaraj, and Rachita Ram in key roles. Actress Pooja Hegde wowed audiences with the chartbuster song Monica. Music by Anirudh Ravichander—including his electrifying background score—was another big highlight.
The good news for fans is that Coolie is now headed to OTT. Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital rights and will premiere the film on September 11, 2025, just 28 days after its theatrical release. The movie will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam simultaneously.
