The nationwide lockdown, imposed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, hasn’t affected Nikhil Kumar’s wedding plans. The actor-politician is all set to tie the knot with his fiancee, Revathi on April 17 in the presence of his family members.At the time when celebrities and commoners are postponing their wedding dates due to the crisis, the couple has decided to host the wedding at their Ramanagara farmhouse in Bengaluru.
Initially, both families had plans to host a grand ceremony by inviting popular personalities. However, due to the lockdown, they have restricted the guest-list and it will be an intimate affair.Reports suggest that the wedding will happen at 10 am and the celebrations have already begun. Their family is also planning to host a gala reception in Bengaluru once the lockdown ends.
Nikhil, who is the son of former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and grandson of former Prime Minister HD Devegowda, got engaged to Revathi in February at a plush hotel in Bengaluru. The couple was blessed by their families, friends and various leaders from political parties.
Revathi is said to be the niece of former minister N Krishnappa and its an arranged marriage. In one of Nikhil’s earlier interviews, he had said he is marrying the girl chosen by his parents and does not know much about her at this stage.On the professional front, Nikhil Kumar is currently working on a new project directed by S Krishna. The trailer is expected to release in May.
