The 23-year-old Rohith Subramaniam sold his startup in 2015 and embarked on a world tour. He became a full-time traveller by profession. Sharing one his adventure stories, Rohith said he was stuck at the France-Croatia border after the officials denied him entry into Croatia.
‘The officials denied me from entering into Croatia, thanks for my unkempt appearance. It was late night by the time I got back onto the road. I ran out of fuel and the nearest fuel station was miles away. With no lights and in pitch dark, that too in an alien country, I was cursing myself for not refueling my tank.
It would have taken at least an hour for the roadside assistance to help me out. I was left out stranded on the road that night with an internet pack and without any balance in my phone. I opened the tinder app and starting randomly swiping.
It was at that moment I find a girl 3 km away from my location. I explained her the situation for about 20 minutes. She came to the rescue. She got me a can of fuel and a sandwich. I must admit I did not go to Tinder for seeking some help. I feel I made a good decision by opening the app,’ said Rohith Subramaniam.
