Police in Toronto said the death of Barry Sherman and his wife who were found dead in the north Toronto mansion on Friday, Dec 16, are suspicious as they did not find any forced entry into the mansion nor an outstanding suspect.
Police said they were investigating the deaths as suspicious.
It looks like a homicide, the detectives interfere now in the investigation of the deaths of billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife after autopsies showed they died from “ligature neck compression”.
The police released a statement on Sunday giving the reason for the death. They also recognized pharmaceutical magnate Sherman and his wife, Honey, as the two people found dead in a north Toronto mansion on Friday.
Police did not find any signs of forced entry and there was no outstanding suspect they were looking for, hence they called the deaths suspicious. Mr. Barry Sherman was the founder of Canadian pharmaceutical giant Apotex.
While, the Sherman family issued an official statement on Saturday, requesting the police to conduct a “thorough, intensive and objective criminal investigation” into the deaths and also urged the media not to indulge in speculation on the cause of the deaths.
