Dhruv Vikram Faces Complaint Over Alleged Film Commitment Dispute
Dhruv Vikram has found himself at the center of a fresh controversy after Neeladri Productions and Pen Studios reportedly filed a complaint against the actor with the Tamil Film Chamber over an alleged breach of a film commitment.
According to reports, Dhruv had earlier agreed to star in a film produced jointly by Neeladri Productions and Pen Studios, with Ramesh Varma set to direct the project. The producers claim they paid the actor an advance and had already spent a significant amount on pre-production, including music, sets, and technicians, in preparation for the shoot.
However, the controversy began after the announcement of #DV4, a new project backed by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Karan. The complainants allege that Dhruv was expected to complete their project first before signing another film, and have questioned why he proceeded with a different production without resolving his earlier commitment.
The producers have reportedly stated that they are willing to wait for their project if required but object to the actor moving ahead with another film without prior discussion. They have described the situation as a breach of trust and have sought the intervention of the Tamil Film Chamber.
Reports also suggest that Dhruv has cited scheduling and other reasons for the delay, though the actor has not issued an official statement regarding the allegations.
This is not the first time Dhruv Vikram has faced reports of delayed or shelved projects. In the past, films associated with directors A.R. Murugadoss and Mani Ratnam were also reported to have not materialized. However, there has been no official confirmation linking those developments to the actor.
With the matter now reportedly before the Tamil Film Chamber, industry observers are waiting to see how the dispute will be resolved.
