Vishwambhara Director Vassishta Mallidi’s Unknown Acting Past with Actress Anjali!

Date:

Vassishta Mallidi, best known today as the Vishwambhara director, made a stellar debut with Bimbisara starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Now, he’s back in the spotlight, directing the mega socio-fantasy spectacle Vishwambhara with none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead. The first song, Rama Raama, recently hit the charts and received a solid response from fans and music lovers alike.

But here’s a surprising twist you may not know — before making his mark behind the camera, Vassishta actually tried his hand at acting! That’s right — he once played the lead role opposite Game Changer actress Anjali in a film titled Premalekha Raasa. At that time, he was introduced to audiences as Venkat Mallidi.

The film, directed by the late lyricist Kulashekar, never made it to the big screen despite its audio launch. However, it did eventually air on Gemini TV, giving viewers a glimpse of the man who would later become the Vishwambhara director.

It’s a fun, lesser-known chapter in his journey that adds more depth to his creative background. With his current success as a director, fans can’t help but wonder — will he ever return to acting, or is he fully committed to shaping grand stories from behind the lens?

Stay tuned for more rare and exciting updates from the world of Telugu cinema!
