Dulquer Salmaan Smartly Avoided Two Big Disasters, Scored with Lucky Baskhar
In the film industry, timing and choices make all the difference. Dulquer Salmaan seems to have made a few that worked in his favor. The talented actor was initially considered for Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3 and Thug Life, but he ended up walking away from both projects. Looking at the results, fans and critics alike believe that Dulquer may have made the smartest moves of his career.
Reports suggest that Dulquer was first approached for Indian 3, but couldn’t take it up due to scheduling conflicts. The film, unfortunately, ended up as one of the biggest box office failures in recent Indian cinema. Likewise, he was announced as part of Thug Life, but later opted out, with Simbu replacing him. That film, too, has been met with negative reviews and disappointing collections.
Meanwhile, Dulquer focused on Lucky Baskhar, which turned out to be a critical and commercial hit, widely regarded as one of his best performances to date. His instinct to step away from risky ventures has only strengthened his reputation as a smart and discerning actor.
Currently, Dulquer is working on Kaantha and Aakasham Lo Oka Tara, continuing his streak of promising and unique projects.
