Titled as Bigil in Tamil, the dubbed version is the biggest ever release for Vijay in Telugu. Vijay is extremely happy with the wide release that he got in both the Telugu states. Vijay and Nayanathara played the lead roles in the film. Atlee Kumar is the director who made this one after the successful collaboration with Vijay with Mersal and Theri.

The early reports of the movie in both the Telugu states suggest that the film opened well to a huge positive response at the box-office.
