The gas leakage at Katrenikona of Uppudi in East Godavari has not yet come below restraint for the third continuous day. On the other hand, it is stated that the gas leakage is correlated with a loud sound on Tuesday morning generating fear in the villagers. The ONGC Boauch Control has stepped in to restrain the gas leakage. A team from Mumbai examined the venue and made scant instructions. The engineers have pushed the Debris from the gas well and begun the task of locating the leaking valve. Earlier, the fire hazard management teams have failed to control the gas leakage with the Water Umbrella; hence the Mumbai experts are called on for the operations. ONGC officials are trying to send the mud-filled with chemicals substance through the valve from which the gas is leaking. Chemical dispatching vehicles arrived at the scene, and two large pump sets for water pumping are set up.
