Every Friday, multiple films hit theatres and dozens more arrive on OTT platforms, keeping audiences doubly entertained. Interestingly, some movies that failed to impress in theatres are now finding success on OTT, drawing massive viewership and even breaking new records.
One such film is Emergency, starring Kangana Ranaut, who also directed the project. Despite being made on a hefty budget of ₹60 crores, the film managed to collect only around ₹20 crores at the box office, turning into a major disaster. Poor promotions and weak theatrical response left Kangana disappointed.
However, in a surprising twist, Emergency is now trending on OTT platforms, garnering wide attention and viewership. This shift once again highlights how digital platforms are giving struggling theatrical releases a new lease of life.
