In the Ashes, England will treat Boland like a “spinner.”
Former captain Michael Vaughan believes that Brendon McCullum’s England team will adopt a strategy of treating Australian fast bowler Scott Boland “like a spinner” in the upcoming Ashes series.
Scott has made an impressive start to his international career, taking 33 wickets in just eight Test matches at an average of 14.6. Vaughan remains confident that England will stick to their aggressive style of play, known as “Bazball,” despite the strong Australian bowling attack.
He expects England to play Scott as if he were a spinner, aiming to take advantage of his predictable length by running down the pitch and looking to whip the ball on the leg side.
The composition of the Australian bowling attack for the first Test is still uncertain, with debates about whether Boland or the experienced Josh Hazlewood will be included. Boland enters the series in good form, while Hazlewood has been dealing with recent injury concerns.
