Enhanced Security Measures at RGIA Following False Bomb Threat:
Authorities have heightened security measures at the airport, after identifying the individual responsible for sending a bomb threat email to Shamshabad airport three days ago.
Airport security officials have increased random screenings of passengers’ luggage and physical inspections at the pre-embarkation security check (PESC) area as a precautionary measure. Inline screeners have been deployed to conduct 100 percent explosive trace detection of both baggage and passengers.
While these measures are part of routine security protocols, they have been intensified in response to the recent hoax threat.
Law enforcement agencies have issued a stern warning, emphasizing that severe actions will be taken against individuals making hoax calls or sending threatening messages. Shamshabad Deputy Commissioner of Police, K. Narayana Reddy, stated that stringent legal action will be initiated against the person responsible for the threat email, who is actively being pursued and will be apprehended according to the law.
