After making a modest impact in theatres, Epic-First Semester is now preparing for its digital debut. Netflix has officially announced the streaming premiere date for the romantic drama, giving the film another opportunity to connect with audiences.
Produced by Naga Vamsi, the film features Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles. The project also marked the feature directorial debut of Aditya Hasan.
According to Netflix’s announcement, Epic-First Semester will begin streaming on October 9, 2026. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, making it accessible to a wider audience across India.
The theatrical release of the film took place on September 11, 2026, but it failed to make a major impact at the box office. With its OTT premiere now confirmed, attention has shifted toward whether the movie can receive a better response from streaming audiences.
The film has a supporting cast that includes Sivaji, Vasuki, Srinivas Gavireddy and Kalyan Shankar, among others.
Sai Soujanya has co-produced the project, while Hesham Abdul Wahab handled the music. With its multilingual Netflix release, Epic-First Semester now gets a second chance to reach viewers who may have missed its theatrical run.
Whether the film manages to gain stronger word-of-mouth and find a wider audience on OTT will become clear after its October 9 premiere.
