Fathima Ismail, the mother of Malayalam actor Mammootty, has passed away at the age of 93 due to age-related ailments. The matriarch breathed her last at a private hospital in Kochi on Friday, April 21st, leaving behind her son Mammootty, five other children, and Dulquer Salmaan, her grandson and Mammootty’s son. The family is mourning the loss of their beloved mother and grandmother.
Mammootty’s mother will be cremated today at 4 p.m. at Chempu Juma Masjid. Shashi Tharoor expressed his condolences to Mammootty on Twitter, saying, “Spoke to @mammukka this morning to express my sincere condolences on the passing of his mother. “I have come to realize the importance and value of the unbreakable bond between a mother and child as I have grown older. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mammootty and his family during this difficult time. I hope he can find the strength and comfort to cope with the loss of his beloved mother.”
