But Prabhas’s rise to prominence as a pan-Indian superstar was largely fueled by the “Baahubali” franchise, and his commitment to the Telugu film industry has been instrumental in its expansion. “Baahubali” broke multiple records in its two parts, and “Baahubali: The Conclusion” proved Telugu cinema could make over two billion rupees in revenue.

Prabhas’ popularity went beyond limits, and he discovered worlds outside of Tollywood. His fan base is worldwide, spanning from Singapore and the US to China, Malaysia, Japan, and the United States.

In 2017, Madame Tussauds in Bangkok immortalized Prabhas as the first celebrity from South India with a wax statue.
