Singh has praised Shubman Gill’s batting

Harbhajan Singh, a former cricketer from India, praised the batting technique of Gujarat Titans’ opener, Shubman Gill, who scored his maiden IPL century in a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday night.

Gill has been a prominent player in the current IPL season. He scored an impressive 101 runs off 58 balls with 13 fours and a six and received excellent support from Sai Sudharsan, who scored 47 runs off 36 balls, helping GT reach a competitive total of 188/9.

After a fierce performance from Bhuvneshwar Kumar (5/31), Shami (4/21) and Mohit (4/24) decimated the SRH top and middle order, despite a fighting performance from Heinrich Klaasen (64 off 44), leading the away team to a 34-run victory and becoming the first team to qualify for the Play-offs.

Harbhajan Singh admired Gill’s ability to play different types of shots and to pick the right shot for the situation. He also praised Gill’s strong fundamentals and technique, as demonstrated by his straight drives and pull shots.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar also admired Shubman Gill’s batting ability, stating that he has good ball-reading skills and time to play his shots. Gavaskar also praised Gill’s balance and head position while executing his shots.

Gujarat Titans, the defending champions, have already secured their spot in the top two with nine wins in 13 matches. They will play their final league game against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 21 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
