Nag Ashwin’s directorial ‘Mahanati’ is minting gold at both domestic and overseas box office. Keerthi Suresh who reprised legendary actress Mahanati Savithri on the silver screen is receiving applauds from the entire nation. Similarly, the movie is going strong into the coming weekend and is expected to increase its collections on Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, sources close to the production unit have confirmed that the satellite rights of the movie have been bagged at an astronomical price. A TV Channel came forward and made an irresistible offer of Rs 10 crores for the movie’s satellite rights.

According to film critics, the movie’s casting has been one of the main reason for the stupendous success of the movie, apart from its story and direction. ‘Everyone has great respect towards Savithri garu, and many people even in this generation look up to her. Be it beauty, charm, or grace; Savithri garu had everything in her.

At the same time, the casting too played an important role. With key personalities reprised by this generations, star actors have brought more flair and glare to the movie, thus propelling its success’ opined a senior film critic.The entire movie unit is overjoyed with the kind of reception the movie is receiving.
