OTT: Housefull 5 Lands on Amazon Prime Video – But There’s a Catch
The latest installment in the Housefull franchise, Housefull 5, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video—but with a twist that’s left many viewers scratching their heads.
Released in theatres on June 6, 2025, the comedy-thriller featured an unusual dual-ending concept with two versions: Housefull 5A and Housefull 5 B. Despite its all-star lineup, including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Sanjay Dutt, the film received a lukewarm response at the box office.
Now, in its OTT debut, both endings are available to stream—but here’s the kicker: viewers need to pay nearly ₹700 to access both versions, even on a subscription platform like Prime Video. This pricing strategy has sparked mixed reactions, with many questioning whether the double-charge is worth it for a film that failed to impress theatrically.
The ensemble cast doesn’t stop with the leads—it also features Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Warda Nadiadwala, and Firuzi Khan, Housefull 5 might be packed with star power and surprise, but the real question remains: Will home audiences pay y premium for both endings of an underwhelming comedy?
