Huawei Mate 30 Pro to ditch Gorilla Glass for AIR Glass

Date:

Huawei Mate 30 Pro has made remarkable strides and is coming up with unique features that will definitely make it sell well in the market.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro is planned to be released sometime later this year. Much talk about has been on the internet. It involves a new type of screen protection technology on the Mate 30-series.

Huawei hopes to replace the Gorilla Glass with AIR glass on the Mate 30 Pro. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer did recently file a trademark which came into force on WIPO’s website. The trademark was filed of course under ‘Class 9’, which is rather linked to smartphone covers, cases, protective glasses, etc.

Apart from the ‘AIR Glass’, Huawei also filed and received a trademark for a camera tech called ‘SuperSensing’. The Mate 30 Pro is said to get two 40MP sensors with support for CineLens. Huawei Mate 30 Pro is indeed remarkable.

The primary camera will be having a 40MP 1/1.5” sensor with an f/1.6-1.4 aperture. The main shooter will consist of an RYYB pixel layout, similar to the P30 Pro’s camera. The secondary lens in the square-shaped camera unit will be featuring a 40MP 1/1.7”, 120-degrees ultra-wide sensor. This lens, too, would support the ‘Cine Lens’ feature. The third sensor would be an 8MP telephoto sensor with 5x zooming capabilities.

Huawei is yet no doubt to confirm any of the details mentioned above.

Huawei has also indeed launched the Y9 Prime in India with an all-screen, no-notch design. This makes Y9 Prime has the most affordable smartphone to sport a notch-less screen with a pop-up camera.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro flagship can actually get rid of Corning’s Gorilla Glass for a new AIR Glass. Huawei off late received a trademark for AIR Glass, which has appeared on the WIPO’s website. The trademark was filed under “Class 9,” which is actually related to covers for smartphones; cases for smartphones; and protective glasses, and more.” Judging by speculation, Huawei Mate 30 Pro could rather place the AIR Glass screen protector on top of the Mate 30 Pro’s screen instead of the Gorilla Glass. While the brand has not officially announced anything, it seems to be developing its own screen protection technology, which could debut with the Mate 30 Pro.
