A horrific incident was reported in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. a 24-year-old woman was admitted to the Chittoor Government hospital after she was assaulted by her husband on the couple’s first night. The police had registered the case and are carrying investigation.
‘The man is working as a government teacher. He got married to the 24-year-old victim recently. The man reportedly assaulted his wife on their first night. She was punched and bitten all over her body. She has punchedarbitrarily in her sensitive parts and face. The man pounced on the woman as soon as she entered the room,’ said a police officer.
The victim who was in a critical state was rushed to the Chittoor government hospital. Later, she was transferred to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai.
‘As soon as I entered the room, he pounced on me. He assaulted me with the knife and started beating and biting me. He punched me in my face and private parts,’ said the victim.
The victim’s mother stated that her daughter had several wounds all over her body and was unable to walk. ‘Her face was swollen. Her body was full of bruises and cuts. We gave 1 crore as dowry,’ said the mother’s victim.
