Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Train Flagging Off Tomorrow:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the third Vande Bharat train service from Telangana on September 24, 2023, through a video conference. This new train will connect Hyderabad and Bengaluru, two major IT hubs in India. Notably, it will mark the first Vande Bharat service linking both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh with Karnataka.
The train’s journey will commence at Kacheguda railway station in Hyderabad, culminating at Yesvantpur railway station in Bengaluru. Covering a distance of 610 km, the Kacheguda-Yesvantpur route will take just 8 hours and 30 minutes, which is notably 2 hours and 50 minutes faster than the current fastest train on this route.
Regular train services for the Kacheguda-Yesvantpur-Kacheguda Vande Bharat Express will begin on September 25, 2023, ex-Yesvantpur, and on September 26, 2023, ex-Kacheguda. The train consists of 8 coaches (7 AC chair car coaches and 1 executive chair car coach) with a capacity of 530 passengers. It will operate six days a week, excluding Wednesdays. The train’s schedule will see it depart from Kacheguda railway station at 5:30 a.m., reaching Yesvantpur at 2:00 p.m. daily. On the return journey, the train will leave Yesvantpur at 2:45 p.m. and arrive at Kacheguda by 11:15 p.m.
The fare structure for the train is as follows: AC chair car fare, including catering charges, from Kacheguda to Yesvantpur: Rs 1,600; Executive class fare: Rs 2,915. AC chair car fare, including catering charges, from Yesvantpur to Kacheguda: Rs 1,540; Executive class fare: Rs 2,865. AC chair car fare without catering charges from Kacheguda to Yesvantpur: Rs 1,255; Executive class fare: Rs 2,515. AC chair car fare without catering charges from Yesvantpur to Kacheguda: Rs 1,255; Executive class fare: Rs 2,515. It’s worth noting that Vande Bharat trains are already operational on routes like Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad-Tirupati.
