I&B Minister Smriti Irani demands to Ban Peheredaar Piya Ki Serial: Media must be responsible. Not only news channels but programming channels too. The channels long back forgot to show the real values in society but highlighting unnecessary things. Mainly in one of the Hindi TV series ‘Peheredaar Piya Ki’ showing that a young girl married to a small boy.
So the central government observed about the disputes raised on this serial. And found the fact that an 18 years girl get married to 10 years boy and later consequences are rest of the story. So the former TV actress, I&B Minister Smriti Irani fired on the channel about the story. She complains a letter on the channel to the Broadcasting Council of India.
Not only marrying the young girl to a small kid. They even referencing first night scene and honeymoon scenes. The online petition has come up with signatures to take action on the serial. With that central government immediately reacted and send notice to the channel. And even demanding to take serious action on all the channels to not to come up with these type of stupid things for TRPs.
