Indian Navy displays impressive strength in the Arabian Sea
The Indian Navy recently conducted a significant demonstration of its capabilities in the Arabian Sea, showcasing its strength amid China’s increasing presence in the Indian Ocean. The exercise involved two aircraft carriers, INS Vikramaditya and the indigenous INS Vikrant, along with the participation of over 35 aircraft.
The Indian Navy expressed its achievements through social media, emphasizing the vastness of the maritime area covered and its commitment to safeguarding India’s national interests. The operational integration of the two aircraft carriers, along with fleet ships and submarines, highlighted the pivotal role of sea-based air power and India’s position as a preferred security partner in the Indian Ocean region and beyond.
INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant served as essential components of the exercise, acting as “floating sovereign airfields” that provided launch platforms for various aircraft, including MiG-29K fighter jets, MH60R, Kamov, Sea King, Chetak, and ALH helicopters. This demonstration demonstrated the Indian Navy’s ability to ensure sustained air operations and underscored its formidable capabilities in the Arabian Sea.
