Indian Railways collaborates with ISRO to assure punctuality of trains, RTIS project execution and real-time tracking!
GPS (Global Positioning System) system for installing in all trains.
The work is expected to be completed by March 2020.
The move is part of the Real-Time Information System (RTIS) program.
Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav said the GPS equipment was installed in 4,200 trains and remaining will be installed by the end of the current financial year.
RTGS records train moments for every 30 seconds this helps passengers to track the accurate location of the train.
