Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 16 later this year, packed with enhancements like more RAM and faster Wi-Fi. Analyst Jeff Pu predicts the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will run on the A18 processor, a first for base model iPhones, featuring a more powerful 3-nanometer fabrication. The iPhone 16 is expected to have 8GB of RAM, up from the current 6GB in the iPhone 15 series.
The Pro versions will boast the A18 Pro chip, and both Pro models will incorporate the Qualcomm X75 modem. Notably, Wi-Fi 6E support will be extended to the iPhone 16 series, promising faster speeds and improved network performance. The iPhone 16 Pro may even support Wi-Fi 7. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro will see an upgraded Ultra Wide camera with a resolution jump from 12MP to 48MP. Meanwhile, Apple temporarily pulled iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 beta releases due to a boot loop issue shortly after their initial release.
