Jagapathi Babu has carved a name for himself in Tollywood film industry. After enjoying a successful career as a ‘family hero’, the actor went on to do many crucial roles in Telugu movies. He is often regarded as the ‘next Shoban Babu’, given his roles, which often depict him with two leading ladies. Though he was seen in character oriented roles, and sizzling hot movies with Priyamani in particular, the Telugu audience knew something was missing.

He made a great comeback after starring as the villain in Balakrishna’s ‘Simha’ movie. Since then there is no looking back. With his rugged and charismatic looks, Jagapathi Babu soon became the most soughed villain in Tollywood. His latest character in Sukumar’s ‘Rangasthalam’ movie as the village’s president is bringing him accolades. A moviegoer said, ‘if you can forget Ram Charan and Samantha for a while, it is Jagapathi Babu who will walk with you until you reach your home’.

Reacting similarly, a Twitterati tweeted, ‘Jaggu Bhai as Phaneendra Bhoopathi, Rangasthalam village president, just rocks. He is amazing, his acting is mind-blowing, and his screen presence is electrifying. Personally, if he was my village president, I would be scared to even meet him’. Sukumar once again proved his niche in developing amazing characters like Chittibabu, Ramalachimi, and Phaneendra Bhoopathi.
