H. Vinoth Opens Up on How Vijay Finalized Jana Nayagan
Director H. Vinoth has shared an interesting story about how Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay, came together. Speaking about the film, Vinoth revealed that Vijay had listened to story narrations from around 25 directors before making his final choice. Although Vijay appreciated Vinoth’s original script, he reportedly felt it was too complex and suggested exploring a different subject instead.

According to Vinoth, Vijay later asked him if he would be interested in directing a remake. Even though the filmmaker was initially reluctant, he agreed because he was determined to collaborate with the star. During a later meeting, Vijay reportedly suggested adapting the Telugu blockbuster Bhagavanth Kesari for Tamil audiences. Vinoth said he worked on reshaping the story while making the antagonist more powerful, and Vijay insisted that the women empowerment theme should remain the emotional core of the film.
Vinoth added that this emotional element played a key role in the evolution of Jana Nayagan. The film has generated significant buzz ahead of its release, with fans eager to see Vijay and H. Vinoth’s much-awaited collaboration on the big screen.
