After wrapping up the post-release promotions of his Bollywood debut War 2, Jr NTR has shifted his focus to his much-anticipated pan-India action drama, tentatively titled Dragon. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the filmmaker behind blockbusters like KGF and Salaar, the expectations for this project are sky-high.
The latest buzz is sure to elevate the hype even further. According to reports, the makers, Mythri Movie Makers, have invested a staggering ₹15 crore to construct a massive and meticulously designed house set at Ramoji Film City for the upcoming schedule. The set reportedly features exquisite color palettes, intricate artifacts, and eye-catching wall hangings, making it a visual treat.
Prashanth Neel, known for his signature larger-than-life world-building, showcased his craft in KGF Chapter 1 & 2 and Salaar. With Dragon, the director is said to be aiming for an even grander cinematic scale that will leave fans in awe.
The next month-long schedule will begin after Ganesh Chaturthi, with NTR expected to join the shoot in the first week of September. This leg will reportedly include several intense, high-voltage sequences that will be crucial to the narrative.
Touted to be a period action drama, Dragon is shaping up as one of the biggest films in Indian cinema. The movie is set for a grand worldwide release on June 25, 2026.
