Justin Langer Appointed As Australia Cricket Team New Coach

Former Australian test opener, and often regarded as one of the finest left-handers to have played the game of cricket, Justin Langer has been appointed as the Australian Cricket Team new coach. The move comes after Darren Lehman resigned from the position of coach, following the ball tampering incident involving Smith, Warner, and Bancroft in a test match against South Africa, in South Africa.
Langer will take charge as the coach from May 22nd, starting with Australia’s tour of England. He would be continuing for a period of 4 years. Currently, Justin Langer has been the Chief Coach for Perth Scorchers and Western Australia cricket teams in the Australian domestic circuit.
Justin Langer played a key role in Australia’s win against England in the historic Ashes Test Series battles. After the Aussies won 5-0 in the 2007 Ashes Series, he has announced his retirement. The left-hand batsman is known for his ultra-cool composure both on and off the cricket field. Opening with Matthew Hayden in tests, Justin Langer went on to give an excellent start for Australia very often.
