Kajal and Rashmika’s Journey into Lady-Centric Telugu Movies

Kajal Aggarwal Gears Up for a Fiery Cop Role in ‘Satyabhama’

Kajal Aggarwal is set to give a boost to the struggling women-centric films in Tollywood with her tough cop role in her maiden female-centric film ‘Satyabhama.’ She had her first professional makeover to wear khakis, and now she’s ready to subtly but effectively show off her fiery side in her next movie.

Tikka Mohan, producer of ‘Satyabhama,’ says, “When she instantly gave her nod for our female-centric film, we had a pleasant surprise. She was the perfect choice for this author-backed role. She has proven her mettle with lover girl roles and performance-centric roles, but she has transformed into a fiery cop in our film. Her look and intense performance will enthrall her huge fan following besides reviving women-centric movies.”

Rashmika Mandanna Joins the League of Solo-Heroine Actresses

New sensation Rashmika Mandanna, who has shared screen space with big stars like Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun, has now decided to do solo-heroine films like ‘Rainbow’ and ‘The Girlfriend.’ She joins the elite list of Anushka (Bhagmathie), Samantha (Yashoda), Tapsee (Anando Brahma), Keethy Suresh (Mahanati and a new thriller), and Anjali (‘Geetanjali’), who have carried films on their shoulders and spun box office magic.

Producer Lagadapati Sridhar says, “No doubt, some actresses have become crowd-pullers these days. But in contrast, the number of heroes is far bigger. Women do, however, play significant parts in our lives, but they rarely appear on TV. More films featuring ladies would do a better job of showcasing women’s perspectives.”

The Rise of Female-Centric Films in Tollywood

The trend of female-centric films in Tollywood is gaining momentum, with actresses like Kajal Aggarwal and Rashmika Mandanna taking on more challenging and author-backed roles. These films are not only entertaining but also empowering, showcasing the strength and resilience of women.

The future of female-centric films in Tollywood looks bright, with more and more actresses and producers willing to take risks and make films that are both commercially and critically successful. These films are helping to break down stereotypes and pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive film industry.
