Bollywood actress Kajol recently headlined the mythological horror thriller Maa, a spinoff of Ajay Devgn’s 2024 blockbuster Shaitaan. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film opened to mixed reviews and earned around ₹37 crores nett during its theatrical run in India.
Now, after completing its eight-week theatrical window, Maa is gearing up for its OTT release on Netflix. The streaming giant officially confirmed that the film will premiere on August 22, 2025. While the Hindi version is locked, it remains unclear whether dubbed versions in other languages will be made available.
The film features Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Kherin Sharma, Jitin Gulati, and Jitendra Kumar in supporting roles. Backed by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, Maa is jointly produced under the banners of Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios.
