Prabhas has an impressive lineup of films, and one of the most awaited projects among them is the sequel to his 2024 blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. The much-anticipated sequel has already gone on floors, with the team completing an initial shooting schedule.
Amid the ongoing production, fresh casting buzz surrounding the film has now caught attention. According to the latest rumours, acclaimed Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has reportedly been brought on board to play a key role in Kalki 2.
If the reports turn out to be true, the project could mark Naseeruddin Shah’s Telugu cinema debut after an illustrious 51-year career in the film industry. The veteran actor is known for his versatile performances across Hindi cinema and various other mediums.
Naseeruddin Shah was recently seen delivering a notable performance in the Hindi drama Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali. His reported addition to Kalki 2 would bring another experienced performer into the ambitious science-fiction epic.
Coming to the production, reports suggest that around 30% of Kalki 2 has already been completed. The makers are expected to continue the shoot once Prabhas wraps up his current commitments and becomes available for the next schedule.
Nag Ashwin, who directed the first instalment, is returning to helm the sequel, while Vyjayanthi Movies is backing the project. With the production progressing and new casting reports emerging, expectations surrounding Kalki 2 continue to build.
