Renowned filmmaker Surya Kiran passed away in Chennai at the age of 51 due to jaundice. He was known for directing popular Telugu movies like ‘Satyam’ and ‘Raju Bhai’. His demise was confirmed by PRO Suresh, who shared the news on social media, expressing condolences.
Starting as a child artist, Surya Kiran acted in over 200 films before venturing into direction. His debut film ‘Satyam’, released in 2003, starring Sumanth and Genelia, was a big hit. He continued to make notable movies like ‘Dhana 51’, ‘Brahmastram’, and ‘Chapter 6’. Additionally, he participated in ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ season 4.
Surya Kiran was previously married to actress Kalyani, known for her role in ‘Avunu Valliddharu Ishtapaddaru’, but later divorced. He is survived by his sister Sujitha, a popular television actress.
