Kamal Hassan who has been quite vocal in pointing out the flaws in the society has gone silent in the past few weeks. The noticeable change soon after various media houses claimed that Rajinikanth’s political entry has been confirmed. shockingly, seconding the same, Kamal Hassan has gone number for the past few days, post the announcement of Rajinikanth’s political entry. The whole of Tamil Nadu is currently gossiping about the same.Realizing this, Kamal Hassan, who writes for a weekly, once again pronounced that he wouldn’t take a backseat, and will be actively participating in the Tamil Nadu politics.
In his column, Kamal Hassan came up with his analysis of the recent RK Nagar elections, in which TTV Dinakaran won. Kamal said that ‘The RK Nagar voters are no less than beggars. They were completely sold-out for money. The RK Nagar elections were postponed after ‘vote-for-note’ allegations came out. But surprisingly, the same thing has continued even for the second time. While the ruling party, AIADMK paid Rs. 6,000 for each vote, Independent contestant, TTV Dinakaran reportedly paid Rs. 20,000 for each vote. Where else can we such this kind of cheap and disgusting politics, except in Tamil Nadu?’
Given, Kamal’s harsh take on the people, along with the political leaders in the ‘vote-for-note’ scheme, one has to wait and see how far will this effect Kamal’s political future, to be decided by the people itself.
