Kangana Ranaut post-pones her direction dreams

Kangana Ranaut starrer, ‘Simran’ that released on September 15th, 2017 bombed at the box office. The film was directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Bhushan Kumar and others. The film received from mixed to negative reviews. The critics expressed that, ‘there is an ample meat in the story, but the writing is very weak’.
Kangana Ranaut stated that she was set to direct her directorial debut ‘Teju’, after her current film ‘Manikarnika’. But the failure of ‘Simran’ at the box office, changed Kangana’s plans. The actress said, ‘there are a lot of reasons why Simran did not work. And a lot of things did change after that. I am going to work in the capacity of an actor.
I wanted to direct Teju, a children’s film. I have a lot of new ideas and I was excited about the project. I know it is very difficult to pull off. I will postpone it for the time being. After ‘Manikarnika’ I will be doing a thriller and another inspirational story.’
‘Manikarnika’ is being directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and produced by Kamal Jain, Zee Studios. Kangana Ranaut will be seen essaying the role of Rani Laxmi Bai, the Queen of Jhansi.
