Karnataka CM Files Review Petition in Cauvery Row:
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Saturday that the state has filed a review petition challenging the directive to release 3,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu until October 15. He added that if necessary, a review petition may also be submitted to the Supreme Court.
Karnataka filed the review petition in response to CWMA’s request for the release of 3,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu until October 15 and the resolution of the backlog.
Siddaramaiah emphasized that the review petition was submitted after carefully considering the advice provided by retired Supreme Court Judges and the Advocate General.
