The Congress-JDS alliance government is to face trust vote on the 18th of this month.
CM Kumara Swamy declared he could not stay in power and was ready for a trust vote in the legislature.
BJP insisted on having a trust vote on Monday, as Kumaraswamy himself stated.
Speaker Ramesh Kumar acknowledged that a trust vote test should be after court’s verdict on MLAs resignation. He told them to get ready for the move.
Meanwhile, BJP leader JC Madhuswamy proposed a no-confidence motion in the Vidhan Sabha.
He urged the Speaker not to hold the House until he could establish a majority in the House.
