To much of everyone’s surprise, in a most unprecedented way, the central government has asked the KCR led TRS government in Telangana to return back the amount of 190 crores which were issued under the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The amount has been given to the Telangana state government in the year 2016-2017 to build rural houses under the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. But the state government has failed to submit the reports regarding the scheme due to which the center has asked to return back the amount which has been allocated.
A total number of 70,674 buildings has been allocated to Telangana under this scheme and the first instalment has been paid to the state government. But the center has been completely disappointed by the way the government has taken up this. No receipts were submitted till date regarding the expenditure under this scheme.
Done with all the ways, the central government has finally given a call to send back the money which was given by center as a first instalment. As per the reports not even a single house has been built under the scheme PMAJ.
