Leader of the Opposition, K Chandrashekhar Rao, rebuffed allegations of involvement in the phone tapping controversy, dismissing them as a political ploy by the Congress. He clarified that phone tapping falls under the purview of the intelligence wing, emphasizing that neither he nor his Ministers had any involvement.
Rao warned of potential political upheaval in Karnataka and Telangana post-Lok Sabha elections, suggesting BJP’s intent to destabilize state governments. He criticized BJP leaders’ remarks about ousting the current Congress government, highlighting Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s silence on the matter.
Additionally, Rao dismissed the notion of renaming the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and emphasized the party’s role in national politics. While distancing Telangana from Andhra Pradesh politics, he hinted at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s potential victory in Andhra Pradesh.
