Prime Video has officially announced the global premiere of Uppu Kappurambu, which will begin streaming exclusively on July 4, 2025. The film will be available not just in Telugu, but also with dubbed versions in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, making it accessible to a wide audience across India and over 240 countries and territories.
A Satirical Tale from the 90s
Set in the 1990s, the film takes place in Chitti Jayapuram, a fictional rural village dealing with a peculiar crisis: a shortage of burial infrastructure. With its quirky narrative, sharp wit, and social commentary, Uppu Kappurambu offers a fresh take on serious issues through humor and satire.
Directed by Ani I.V. Sasi and written by Vasanth Maringanti, the movie is produced by Radhika Lavu under the banner of Ellanar Films Pvt Ltd.
