Khaleel Ahmed, the left-arm pacer, has been ruled out of the remainder of India A’s tour of New Zealand due to a wrist injury. According to a BCCI media release on Saturday (January 5), the 22-year-old has a fracture of “the scaphoid bone in his left wrist”, picking up the injury during the first 50-over match against New Zealand A at Lincoln on January 22.
India A won the opening one-dayer by 92 runs with Khaleel bagging two wickets in the game. New Zealand managed to square the series in the next game while the final one-day will be played on Sunday. This will be followed by two four-day games. Khaleel was not part of the squad for the unofficial Tests.
