Kingdom Hits ₹67 Crore in Just 3 Days; Director Gowtam Tinnanuri Breaks Silence on Shelved Ram Charan Film
Acclaimed filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri is enjoying the success of his latest release, the pan-India action drama Kingdom, which stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. The film has been performing impressively at the box office, and as per the latest update from the makers, Kingdom has grossed ₹67 crore in just three days of its theatrical release.
As part of the post-release promotions, Gowtam interacted with the media and dropped an interesting update about a much-anticipated collaboration that never materialized — his shelved project with Tollywood star Ram Charan.
“I had narrated a storyline to Ram Charan, and he liked it very much,” Gowtam revealed. “I developed it into a full-fledged script, but I felt it didn’t match Ram Charan’s larger-than-life image. Directing a star like him is a one-time opportunity, and I didn’t want to do just any random film. We mutually decided to wait for the right project.”
This candid revelation has sparked curiosity among fans, who were hoping to see the duo work together. Gowtam’s clarity and artistic integrity have drawn appreciation from many quarters in the industry.
Meanwhile, Kingdom continues to make waves. Alongside Vijay Deverakonda, the film features Bhagyashri Borse, Satyadev, and Venkatesh in key roles. It is jointly produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
With its grand scale, emotionally driven plot, and strong performances, Kingdom is shaping up to be one of the biggest commercial hits of Vijay Deverakonda’s career.
