Kireeti Reddy, son of political leader Gali Janardhan Reddy, is all set to make his silver screen debut with the wholesome family entertainer Junior, which hits theaters tomorrow. Directed by Radha Krishna and produced by Rajani Korrapati under Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, the film is receiving an unexpectedly grand release, with over 1,000+ screens in India and nearly 200 locations overseas.
What began as a modest launchpad for a debutant has now turned into a big-ticket release. At the recent pre-release event, director SS Rajamouli himself expressed surprise at the scale of the project. He credited the film’s growth to the inclusion of star actors like Sreeleela, Genelia D’Souza, and Dr. Ravichandra, along with an elite technical crew including cinematographer Senthil Kumar, music director Devi Sri Prasad, and action choreographer Peter Hein.
The film’s soundtrack, especially the viral chartbuster “Vayyari,” has taken social media by storm, boosting the film’s pre-release buzz. The trailer, too, has struck the right chord with audiences, creating high expectations for Junior’s box office performance.
Adding to its momentum, Junior is releasing simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada, which positions it for strong openings in both states. If audience reception is favorable, the film could potentially set a new benchmark for a debutant actor’s launch in recent times.
All eyes are now on the Day 1 response, as Kireeti Reddy steps into the limelight.
