Kuberaa Adopts Hybrid Pricing Model for Theatrical Release – A Bold Move in Telugu Cinema

Kuberaa Adopts Hybrid Ticket Pricing: A Game-Changer for Telugu Cinema?

With the release of Kuberaa just around the corner on June 20, 2025, the makers have introduced a bold new strategy: hybrid ticket pricing. Starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, the film is already making noise—not just for its content, but for its innovative approach to theatrical pricing.

What is hybrid pricing?

Producer Suniel Narang confirmed that Kuberaa will not follow a flat ticket rate. Instead, dynamic pricing will be implemented based on the theater’s location and local demand. For example:

  • Premium zones like Hitech City and Gachibowli in Hyderabad may see tickets priced at ₹250.

  • Suburban areas like Kompally will have more accessible pricing in the ₹150–₹200 range.

This hybrid model aims to maximize reach while respecting regional affordability, making the film more accessible without compromising on revenue from high-demand areas.

An Industry First?

While dynamic pricing is common in international markets and online platforms, it’s rarely tested in mainstream Telugu cinema. If successful, Kuberaa could set a precedent for future theatrical releases in the region. With high expectations and a star-studded cast, all eyes are on this release to see if the pricing innovation delivers results at the box office.
