Kuberaa Is a Remarkably New Film with Strong Emotions, Says Nagarjuna
The pre-release event of Kuberaa turned into a grand celebration as fans from across regions gathered in large numbers to cheer for their favorite stars. The film, directed by Sekhar Kammula, features Nagarjuna, Dhanush, and Rashmika Mandanna and is all set for release on June 20.
Speaking at the event, Nagarjuna said he chose to be part of Kuberaa purely because of Sekhar Kammula.
“This is a true Sekhar Kammula film. It has a powerful emotional core that reflects the economic divide in society. Everyone involved in the project believed in his vision,” said the veteran actor. He urged audiences to experience the movie in theatres, expressing confidence in its storytelling and message.
“Sekhar looked so proud and content. That says it all,” he added.
Dhanush: “A Story That Stands Out”
Lead actor Dhanush thanked Sekhar for choosing him for a story that breaks the conventional mold.
“This film went through several challenges across different locations. But here we are, ready for release. I want to thank our producers Suniel Narang and Pushkar Rammohan Rao for backing the film lavishly,” he said.
He also praised the contributions of Thota Tharani (production designer) and Devi Sri Prasad (composer), calling their work “immaculate and elevating.”
Sekhar Kammula: “Everyone Gave Their Best”
Director Sekhar Kammula expressed heartfelt gratitude to his entire team, sharing that the film took over two years to bring to life. He particularly praised Nagarjuna for his humility and support.
“This is the first time I directed stars. I was nervous on set, but Nagarjuna sir made everything easy. He made several exceptions to his usual routine just for this film,” Sekhar revealed.
SS Rajamouli: “Here for Sekhar Kammula.”
The event was further elevated by the presence of SS Rajamouli, who said he attended the function to honor Sekhar’s 25th year in the Telugu film industry.
“I came here for Sekhar. I’ve heard great things about Kuberaa. I’m excited to watch it, especially with such different and strong characters played by Dhanush and Nagarjuna,” said the RRR director, wishing the team all success.
