Ravi Bishnoi, a leg-spinner, switches from Rajasthan to Gujarat
Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has decided to leave the Rajasthan team and join Gujarat for the upcoming 2023/24 season of Indian domestic cricket. Bishnoi made the announcement on his Instagram account, where he posted a photo wearing the Gujarat practice jersey and captioned it as a “new beginning.”
His coach at Spartans Cricket Academy in Jodhpur confirmed the move. The details regarding the transfer and further information from Bishnoi, the Rajasthan Cricket Association, and the Gujarat Cricket Association are still awaited. Bishnoi has represented India in 10 T20Is and has performed well, taking 16 wickets at an economy rate of 7.08.
He has also played in the IPL for the Lucknow Super Giants, claiming 16 wickets in the 2023 season. Bishnoi gained recognition as a part of the India U19 team that finished as runners-up in the 2020 Men’s Cricket World Cup. Gujarat will be coached by former Indian spinner Ramesh Powar for the upcoming season.
