In the Udupi district on Sunday night, a lightning strike claimed the life of one individual.
Avarse inhabitant Pramod Shetty, 27, worked at a clothing store in Brahmavar. He got back home Sunday afternoon.
Pramod’s brother Prashanth heard him crying in the evening while he was seated on his house’s sitout, deep in conversation over the phone.
Prashanth was startled to see his brother Pramod hit by lightning when he arrived at the spot. Even though they sent him to a Brahmavar hospital right away, Pramod had already passed away from his wounds, therefore it was too late.
